When Anne Frank and her family went into hiding, they were only able to bring a handful of personal items with them. Anne's most prized possession while she's in hiding becomes her diary.
If you were forced to go into hiding, what important possession would you bring? Remember, you could not bring a cell phone or a computer with internet capabilities, because these items would provide a way for the Nazis to track you and locate you. It could not be a big or bulky item, because you would have to conceal it as you walked down the street towards the Secret Annex.

If i went into hiding i would bring a giant pinecone. over the summer i went to california with my brother dave to see my sister,brother and nephew. while we were there playing man hunt at the middle of the nite i found the pine cone.but the way i found is what is interesting. i had climed into a tree and when i looked down i saw the pinecone sitting there. ever sense then i have had the pinecone sitting in my room reminding me of that day.

If I were to go into hiding, and only be allowed to bring one thing; I'd bring my dad's box, the one with his ashes in it. It is sentimental to me because it is one of the last things my dad held part to. He was my guardian angel, and now that he's gone, I cherish his box of ashes, because it is the only pysical way of being with him. I would take it anywhere, because it's my dad, and it is always a rememberance of how he said he'd try to be a better father. I've had my dad's ashes since February when he sadly passed away. It is a small grey box, about 9in in height, and about 7in in length. I'd take this one possesion with me because it means alot to me.

If t were to go into hiding like Anne Frank and could only bring one posetion I would bring my build-a-bear. When I was 7 years old my dad took me for my birthday to build a bear work shop. I named my bear Veronica, at the time I thought it was the most beautiful name. Everywere I went she went too. Looking at her I remember all my childhood memories. My best friend Erin also had a bear and when ever we would hang out our bears would too. As you can see my build-a-bear would help me remember the past and help me deal with the presant.

If i were to choose my most prized possesion to bring with me along my journey as a jewish person hiding, i would choose to bring my dogs ashes. It might seem ironic that i would choose that, but they mean alot to me. My dog recently passed away in late 2010. She ment the world to me, and she was always there when i was sad. Even though she couldnt understand my problems, in a way i felt that she could. Her name was nia, and she was a boxer. She was a family dog, and she was about 12 years old. No one expected her to pass away, because she seemed like a healthy dog but i guess she was to old. I was very upset when she passed, so i would love to bring her everywhere with me even though she is in a small oak box. It will help me threw the times that i am sad just knowing that she is there with me; threw thick and thin.

It would help me through life because people would really know who I was so I wouldn't go to a consentration camp. Or be sent to a ghetto. If i had to bring one thing in to hideing i would bring a picture of my family.I would bring this because I would want to remember who my familey is and never forget them. If we get split up. I would bring my dads dogtags. If something were to happen it would help me know that part of him is there with me. Everytime im in a bad mood it will help me feel happier. My dad has helped me through everything. If we were seperated it would help me feel brave to not think of the bad things. My dad is my rolemodel so when he was in the marines he had to be tough and strong so the dogtags would make me want to be like him strong and tough.
If I could take one or two things to the Secret Annex, I would either bring my wallet that my grandpa made, or my stuffed dog that when I was little, I named her Geniveve. I would bring my wallet because I keep special things in it from my family and friends and my grandpa made it, and it is easy to conceal under clothing. It would help me have a part of the people who loved me, and I might never see again. Also, I could hide secret messages in it. If I brought my stuffed dog, Geniveve, I would bring her because I've had her since I was little, and she brings me comfort when I'm upset. She is a little bit harder to hide her, but she canbe stuffed in a sleeve, or in a purse. These objects would comfoet me and remind me of the good old days, when Nazi's didn't commit this genocide.

If I was forced to go into hiding and I could bring one extra small thing with me, it would probably be a small board game. There are a couple reasons for this choice I made. The first is that it would be helpful when I am bored and have nothing to do all day because I have to be hiding. Also, it will get my mind off of all the bad things that are going on around me. Another reason is that it will give me comfort and memories from when I was home and when I used to play it there and not have to worry about everything. This is why I would bring a familiar board game with me if I was forced to go into hiding.

I brought her every where with me and can't sleep without her. If I was going into hiding just like Anne Frank, i would bring the closest thing to me. That thing would be the picture of me and my dad when I was very little. I would bring it because that picture has gotten me throw everything. My dad is in the airforce and everytime he is away or over seas that picture gets me threw it. This will help me get threw hiding because it will remind me of what we will have when we get back, and what we had before we left. This picture has been with me sence the first time he left and if anything happens to it or if I have to leave it somewhere I will struggle.

My most prized possesion, huh? I'm not quite sure what my most prized possesion is. I think I would defineatly bring my cat, Scooter. I've had Scooter since I was 3 and he is the best! He is black and white and a little chubby, but I think could carry him under my coat. I know its not very sensible to bring a cat of all things possible, but being stuck with some random strangers or even my family for a long time in a small space sounds terribly boring.I might get cabin fever! At least I'd have my cat for some company, and maybe keep me sane. I would feed him scraps if I couold find them. I wouldn't be able to live without him! My most prized possession I would bring if I went into hiding would be my blue story folder. The folder is full of story ideas that haven't been written yet. I would write stories every day to keep me busy because I must be silent. I would even be able to write a journal of the things that happen to me everyday. I think this folder would help me with the stress of being stuck with my sister for years. I could write down everything I feel which will help me feel better. All in all, I would bring my story folder to write down as many stories I could think of, and make a journal of my everyday life. This would help keep me stress free by writing my feelings, and getting lost in my stories.

If I needed to go into hiding like Anne Frank, and I could only bring one thing with me, I would bring my silver necklace that my dad gave me. It was one of the last things he gave me before he died, so it has a lot of sentimental value. It reminds me of him whenever I look at it, and one of the last things I would want to do is forget about him while in hiding. It would be very easy to carry around since I could just put it on and hid it in a pocket or under my shirt if I had to. Also, if things got really, really bad, I could sell it if my family and I were starving. I think it would be a nice thing to bring into hiding.

If I had to go into hiding there are many things I would like to bring. I have many items that have sentimental value that I don't think I would be able to live without, but most of all I would like to bring my "special box". When I was little my mother and I bought a small box, painted it, and put it on my dresser. Since then I have added small pieces of paper, toys, movie/theater tickets to shows, and many more things that hold very sepecial memories to me. I know that whenever I need to be reminded of good times or need to cheer up, I will just open my box and remember all of the great times I had. Most all, while I am in hiding I may be able to add small things that might remind me of a happy thing that occurred during my time in hiding-if there is any. As you can see, my "special box" is very important to me and would definately be needed if I every had to endure what Anne and many others had too.

If I could bring one thing with me into hiding, it would be a diary like Anne did. I could write down my feelings and how I feel. If I died, people could see what life was when I was alive. It would help me because I could write things down that I can't say out loud. I can express my feelings without getting in trouble for saying them. I would bring my knee hockey stick and knee hockey ball. My knee hockey stick, nicknamed "Oakie" is my number one prized possesion. To smuggle this into hidding I would hide the stick and ball beneath my clothing. When in hiding to place the time i could make a net on the wall and practice my shot. I'd do this during time when were we allowed to make nosie just in case. Oakie would help me kill some time while in hiding.

My most prized posession that i would take with me into hidding is the same thing Anne did, a diary and some pens. I would use this diary to record everything that happened to me daily. This diary would be thick with a butterfly on the front. This butterfly would represent the freedom that I would be waiting for once i would get out of hidding. The diary would have 400 pages with old fasion paper and would be many different colors so i would never forget the brigtness and good in the world. Lastly this diary would help me never forget what it had been like to be in hidding. This is the prized posession that i would take with me into hidding if i ever had to.

You never know what you can do with a pen and some paper. the thrill and excitment of writing would keep me in good morale and the expressing of my ideas would keep me sane. These books are sentimental because I like the characters and the plot in the stories. These would help me pass the time and take my mind off of what was happening. I prefer playing the classical because to me, it has much more meaning in its tone. If I was forced into hiding and I could only bring one item, I would bring my stuffed elephant. This item is small, easy to carry, soft, and makes no noise what so ever. My stuffed elephant means the world to me because my grandma and I had traded elephants before she had passed. Elephants with their trunks up are meant to represent good luck. I believe that he would give me a little more hope to survive, because having something that smells like home would bring me comfort where ever I may be hiding. I got it for Christmas one year from my brother so that I can write short letters to him while he was in Afghanistan. I keep all of his letters back to me inside of it. If I were to go into hiding like Anne Frank had to during the holocaust, i would bring my camera and memory cards. There are several reasons why i would bring my camera. For one reason, the pictures on my memory cards have sentemental value to me. They are special to me and it would help me get through hard times. I could look through them and it would comfort me seeing how happy it was with my frinds and family before the war. Another reason why i would bring it is because it would keep me busy when i was bored. I could take pictures, because to me photography is very entertaning. The last reason is so that i could document my journy during the war and when i got out i could show people so the can better understand our struggle through the war. Even though going into hiding would be very hard, and boring, my camera wuld brighten my days.

There are many, many things that i feel i could never live without, but still their are things i would have to leave behind if i were in Anne Franks position in the holocost. To begin with i would Bring a small wooden box that has a clipping of each of my dogs fur, wrapped in a ribbon that matches their collars color. Secondly, in this box are also are four clay madalions, each with a paw print on it with the name of the dog beneath it. Finaly, within this presius box their are individual picture of each of my beloevd dogs.
The reson to bringing this box is because i would have to leave all four of my dogs behind, two of wich i grew up my entire life with. It realy is a terrible thing if you think about it, it is like leaving your family behind. If I did have to leave my dogs behind....i dont know what i would do, but take this box along with me so i would always remember my "brother" and "sisters". As you can see i would bring a small memory box along so i could always remember my family that i had to leave behind.

If I was forced to go into hideing I would bring two things. The first thing that I would bring would be a picture of me and my mother when I was two years old. I would bring this because I dont have anything of my mother anymore after she passed away. This would help me cope with the situation because it means to much to me and I have to have this picture. I would bring a hunting knife and gerber my cat and my stuffed monkey. i would bring the hunting knife for defence and somthing to carve my story and name. i would bring my gerber knife (multi tool) to fix things, and to help survive in the wild. i would also bring my cat for two reasons. one i love my cat, and in worse case senario i can eat my cat. (i dont think i would unless its been a while since i ate. i would bring my stuff monkey because i got it when i went to the dentist to get my teeth fixed. these are the things i would bring and why. If I had to sneak out of my house, I would bring them out in two seperate cat carriers. Lacey would keep me calm and confortable, when I'm sitting on the couch with a blanket on me, Lacey would jump up on my lap and sit down all lovey. If I had to go into hiding and I got to take one item I would being my grandpa W.W.II metals. I would bring it because I always want to remeber him. So I would bring it and look at it everyday because he alway bring a smile on my face. We alway laugh and he like the best grandpa in the world. To hide it I would put it in my jacket or I would put all the metals and clip them onto the jacket. I love my grandpa so much that why I would want to take that prize possesion.

The people on the picture is my famliy. Their names are Amy my mom, Peter my dad, sara my sister, Josh Nathan my 2 brother. I would bring this because i would have a memory of them.It will help me remember them. this is what i would bring with me.

If i were to go into hiding and could only bring one object,i would bring my grandfathers old butterfly knife. His butterfly knife has great value to me becase while i was at his house, he took some metal and said he was going to make a butterfly knife. I helped him and he used this knife to go hunting from then on. Once i am old enough, my dad will give me this knife. Well... thats what i'd bring with me if i were to go into hiding.

If I had to go in to hiding during World War Two then I would bring my locket that my sister had gave to me for my 10th birthday. I would choose this because it has a picture of me, my brother Josh, my mom, my dad, my sister jessica, my nephew jacob, my sister Christa, my neice Haley, and my nephew Pualie and my grand parents that have reasently died.(on one side) On the other side theres my 4 dogs, my puppies rosie, and princess, and my other two dogs Buddy and Buzzy. I would bring this because if my family and dogs die and I am the only one left it will remind me of the memories that we shared when I was little and when from this year!!! It will help me at night because I always sleep with my dogs at night. Also because of all of the good and bad times we shared. The question "What's your most prized possession?" is a rather difficult one to answer. If I were to go into hiding I would have to bring my grandfather's stormtrooper toy. He loved the movie and he died of a heart attack. Before he died he gave it to me. It kept his memory in my mind everytime I saw it. To lose it would be a tragedy. To conclude, that simple toy would help me through the terrible times by remembering the good times.

If I had to go into hiding I would bring my old teddy bear from when I was little. I would bring this because it is a very special item to me. I got it when I was about 3 and ive always had it. If I didn't bring it I would be lost I have a hard time sleeping knowing that my bear, memory, isn't with me.I don't think I could live without my precious little bear. Most of the time he makes me feel safe when I'm alone, and is always by my side.

If I were to go into hiding I would bring my most prized possession. I would bring my grandmothers wedding ring. She had passed away in Febuary about 3 years ago. It reminds me of her and it means alot to me. She raised many children and was a practically a second mother to each grandchild. I miss her and she was such a great person and even better grandmother. If i were to go into hiding it would be the first thing that would come to mind. It would remind me a good, nice and happy times. Also, of course family. I would love to have her ring as my wedding ring someday. As you can see, I would bring my grandmothers wedding ring reminding me of both my grandma and grandpa.

When Anne Frank went into hiding she brought her dairy. Anne brought her dairy because she knew that when, and if, she get out of hiding all her things will be gone. So she brought her prize possesion, her diary. If I went into hiding I would bring my blanket that my Grandma gave to me. It's very speacial to me because she made it herself for me, and I had it ever since I was born. It's also important to me because it's one of the only things that I have from her that she gave and made for me. Bringing that blanket would help me emotional because I would still have something that my Grandma gave me that could never be replaced.

Her mom and her family made it for me when she passed. I have everything we did together and any other pictures of her and I. This will help me because she knew how to make a bad situation good. If I were to go into hiding I would bring small pictures of my family and my travel pack full of my favorite games and handheld systems although I couldn't play them. I'd bring them for emotional security and to not lose everything I've worked towards over the years on them.Some have taken months, years, or even longer to beat. This way I'd be safe in the knowledge that I still have things I've used all of my life. I'd bring the photos so if my family was found and some died I'd be able to remember them.This is why I'd bring these few small things.

If I went in to hiding I would bring my sketch book and my blanket. I had my blanket for as long I could remember. It would birng me confort when i sleep with it. I would remember my Mom when she bought me it. My brothers when they would make fun of me when my blanket is different from their and my dad saying that its ok when I tell my dad they were making fun of me. I would bring my sketch book because I could draw all the good times I remember and all the recent things that are happening. I could also write in it to if I dont want to draw. It would also help me pass time. To bring these items with me I would tye my blanket around my neck and wear a long jacket and put my sktech book and pencils in my pokets.

If i had to go into hiding i would bring one thing. That thing would be a Soccer Ball. I would bring a soccer ball because i could play with it in my spare time. I really enjoy to play soccer so im not going to have going into hiding stop me from playing. Also if i play during hiding i can keep my skills up so when i get out i will still be the same player. It will also help me get some energy out and it would keep me from getting as bored. Those are the reasons why i would bring a Soccer Ball into hiding.

If I could bring one thing with me if I were in the Halocaust, I would bring a large photo of my family. The reason I would bring this picture is that, if my family doesnt survive, I can remember them. Also, If I would have died, then maybe my family could find my body, and find the photo the family (including me). If I was going to bring a prized possesion with me it would be my favorite stuffed animal. It is very special to me because my aunt gave it to me a long time ago. It reminds me of a lot of memories we had together. Also I never want to forget what she is like. The day she gave it to me I was so happy and I loved Whinne the Pooh. The stuffed animal helps me when I cant sleep and when I miss my aunt. All in all I would bring this with me because I love my aunt and I never want to forget our memories together.

If I could bring one thing I would bring the board game Monopoly. I would bring Monopoly because it could keep from being bored. Monopoly is a fun game and alot of people can play it. If i was going to bring something into hiding i would bring would be my coin books. i would bring them because my grandpa, my cousin, and i went through ALOT of coins and many coin shows to fill most of the coins. these coin books mean alot because my gpa and i had alot of fun in trying to put them together. i treasure the things me and my grandpa do together. these books will help me remember the good times outside of hiding to look forward to when i get out. these books are cool because i have buffalo nickels and they are cool to look for with my grandpa.

In the book "The Diary of Anne Frank" they go into hiding and can only bring one thing. If I went into hiding I would bring .17 cal. rifle. I would use it to kill the Nazis that come in search for me. It has a 4x32 scope on it so I could snipe them. It would be easier to snipe then so then they wouldn't be able to see where the shot came from. That is what I would bring and why I would bring it into hiding with me.

If I was going into hiding I would bring a football. I will bring a football so when I am bored i can play catch with someone. Also, because I love football and want to remember it. It will help with fighting the nazis. When they attack I can hit them with my ball. Clearly, thats why I would bring a football if I went into hiding.

The pictures mean a lot to me because I have family members that passed away a few months ago to years ago that I barely knew. If I had found out that they had been destroyed I'd be crushed. These pictures would get me through hiding until the Holocaust is over.

If I was to go into hiding, I would only bring one item with me. The item I would bring with me would be a photo album of my whole family. I would bring that because everytime I would look at it, I would constantly be reminded of the past years. Each page would have my family all over it, doing different things.
