What is your theme song?

Many professional athletes have theme songs that play for them when they are up at bat, score a goal, or make a touchdown. Members of the WWE have songs that play as they come out to wrestle.

If you could have your own theme song, what would it be, and why?

You must include the following:

*Title of your song (in quotes) and the artist/band who performs it
*Explanation of why you chose this song. It must be based on the lyrics, so be sure to include key lyrics to support your choice!
*The lyrics should relate to your personality, personal experiences, or your attitude about life.

Your entry should be at least 5 sentences long or it will not be published! Remember to include your first name, first initial of your last name, and your period number.

Outsiders Blog #2- Do the greasers have it tough?

Ponyboy refers to how life is particularly difficult for greasers when he says, "Things are tough all over, all right. All over the East Side."

Though everyone has problems in life, do greasers have it particularly tough?

Write an eight sentence paragraph that answers this question. Follow the guide below and use Mrs. Miller's hand out to help you:

Peer Pressure in The Outsiders

We can infer that the characters in The Outsiders act certain ways so they will be accepted by their peers. A peer is someone who is equal to another in age, background, or social status.

Who are your peers?
Do you ever feel pressure to dress or act like your peers?
Have you ever done anything you did not want to do because of peer pressure?
Do you think children, teenagers, or adults are more affected by peer pressure?

Remember to answer all parts of this blog, and give details to support your answers. Your entry must be at least six sentences long or it will not be published!

Question: What would you do if you were stranded on a deserted island all alone?

If I was stranded on an island, the first thing I would do is try to make a shelter. I would need a place to sleep at night, and I wouldn’t want to be out with the animals of the island. After my shelter is built, I would then try to find some food. I would try to go fishing, or even look for some berries or other fruit. Food would be very important if I wanted to survive. Finally, I would want to make a fire to both cook food and make a signal so I could be rescued. I would not want to be on that island forever! – William
